Is a shoe box okay for a rabbit nest box???

I want to know if a shoe box is okay to use as a nest box, or if it is too small???

Chances are the shoebox is both too small and too flimsy, depending on the size of the rabbit, the size of the shoebox, and how sturdy the box is.

If you cannot purchase or make a rabbit nest box, you can try obtaining a cheap plastic dishpan with a 6-inch rim. Drill holes in the bottom for drainage of moisture, and secure it to the cage so the doe can't just flip it over.

Good luck, and have fun!

It could work

It would depend on breed of course, but if you have a sturdy shoebox and a small rabbit it might work.
I know I couldn't do it with my rabbits though because they would just chew it up! :)
