Lotion is nice for their ears

Rubbing lotion into their ears and chapstick onto their tattoo works well at home.... Don't do it on the day of the show though.

Yeah, lemme finish your thought for the benefit of others - lotion and/or chapstick on a show day will affect the rabbit's appearance, which is a disqualification from the show table.

But question: I can see how chapstick might help seal a fresh tattoo, however why the lotion in the ears? I don't see any condition in my own rabbits that would make me think, "Aha, lotion!"

Can you help us with this?

where are rabbit shows?

I have a 7 mounth old mini rex who my friend a rabbit breeder say would do good in one of the shows.Do you now where one would be?And where would we go to sign up and to get the info?
