My rabbit flops to one side

Hi I was wanting to know if someone could possibly tell me what's wrong with my rabbit. She was fine yesterday - she was playing, eating, and drinking water and today it's like she won't move. I got her out of the cage and she just flops over to one side. She will not eat or drink or do anything. I do not have the money to take her to a vet but I would really like to know what's wrong with her and if there is something I could do for her. I love her so much and don't want anything to happen to her.

So sorry to hear it. You are describing symptoms of an inner ear infection causing extreme dizziness, or possibly you're seeing the neurologic symptoms of a tiny parasite that has gotten into the brain. Since you don't mention anything about sneezing or a snotty nose, I wonder if it is the latter - a rabbit disease called Nosema.

There is just no way that I can make a diagnosis from here. You really do need a vet's opinion. Both of the health problems I suspect are possibly life-threatening, sorry to say, but prompt care might make a big difference, depending on the root of the problem.

Without a vet's attention, you can simply do your best to help the rabbit eat and drink and stay clean, in the chance the dizziness and flopping might clear up over the next month. And they might, if the rabbit doesn't die.

Good luck.
