Because of the difficulty consistently obtaining under-2-pound rabbits and the increased cost, most raw-feeders who would prefer 1-pound rabbits make it work with 2-4 pound rabbits without difficulty:

  • After feeding, refrigerate the remainder of the rabbit over the next 1-3 days. Rabbits CAN be fed starting from frozen.

Why 30 - 50 pounds?

  • These quantities enable you to get the most raw rabbit for the lowest possible shipping charges.
  • Consider ordering 50 pounds per order during hot weather (around or above 90 degrees Fahrenheit), as the larger frozen mass tends to extend the ability to ship to your area during the hotter weather.

Instructions for Feeding Frozen Raw Rabbits

  • Keep frozen until ready to use; thaw immediately before feeding (or offer while still frozen); refrigerate any leftovers promptly.

ATTENTION: Feeding cats a raw rabbit diet exclusively, especially if ground, may result in a taurine deficiency. Researchers recommend that you supplement their diets with 375 – 500 mg of Taurine per day. see this link at catsndogsnaturally.com.

(Dogs synthesize taurine efficiently, and thus won’t experience a taurine deficiency on a raw diet.)
