Rabbit Isolation??

by Jasmine
(WA)

My doe is expecting, she is with another female, does she need to be separated? Or can she kindle with the other doe in her hutch?
Thanks!

Jasmine, I'm not sure, since we always give our pregnant does their own cage. However, I've heard of does that have always lived together doing okay with their kits all in the same hutch.

It is probably a very individual matter, since rabbits have a 'pecking order' just like chickens do.

I'd say, leave 'em together at your own risk, and let us know what happens, if you do.

Good luck, and God bless you,
K
