I have a rabbit that is due in about 10 days. she has been sat in the same place all day (where she goes the toilet) and she has her eyes closed (which look a bit dry when she finally opens them. She is usually very active, I think she may be constipated is there anything I can give her? I think a visit to the vet will be on the cards! Any ideas??

Hmmm, don't like the sound of those symptoms. Could be a mucoid enteritis - a blockage of the guts. If this doesn't resolve, the animal will starve to death.

Remove all feed and offer grass hay only, all-you-can-eat, for 2-3 days. Plus water 24/7. And yeah, make that vet appointment, STAT.

Good luck.

Vet trip
by: really worried

Well, took Tinkerbell to the vet yesterday- he can't to find anything wrong?? :-( She is definitely worse. he says it cud be the start of myxo and will pass within the week if it is. Put her on antibiotics and told me to give leafy greens and a little juice but she's not interested. Oh and he says she's not pregnant. Dread going to check on her.

I'm so sorry, Worried.
The very first signs of myxo are inflammation of the mucous membranes (around eyes, nose, mouth) and a very high fever of 40.5C or even higher (105F). Normal is 38.8C (102F) for a rabbit.

If the rabbit has no fever, I fear its guts are blocked from something like a hairball. It may be too late to help her, though following the vet's food recommendations might help, if she can be coaxed to eat.

I'm sending an electronic hug.
