SURPRISE BABIES

Please can I have some quick advice.
One of our 'male' rabbits has just given birth.
She had hid her nest behind her steps so we did not notice. The baby rabbits look about a day old.
Due to this there is no nest box.
Is it safe to make one now and transfer them from where they are into it?
