Rabbit with sore toe

by Pat

I have a rabbit with one sore toe. It seems to just hang there. What can I do?

Thanks.

We're guessing that perhaps your rabbit broke the toe on the cage wire, perhaps recently. If so, it'll heal up fine, and the rabbit will stop limping and do great. But, probably the toe will always just hang there. If we're right, you don't need to do anything - just let time heal all.

We readily admit to not being vets, so, do get a vet's opinion if you think the rabbit needs it in 1-2 weeks time.

Good luck!
