Picture of our pet rabbit

Hi. My family is in the process of adopting a rabbit (male) who is estimated to be about 6 months old. He was bought at a pet shop but everything the current owner was told turned out to be false (that he was a she, and that he was a tiny little miniature). I have no idea what type of rabbit it is and this is where I'm hoping you can help me out.

I've never had a rabbit before, except one that my son occasionally brought home from school on week ends a few years ago... and so I need to learn more about caring for it but without knowing which type it is I'm not sure where to start.

Could you please look at the picture of this rabbit, Oliver, and give an educated guess as to his type?
