Older breeders

How old is too old for rabbits to breed? We have 6 year old's . The female broke through a barrier!! to get to the male and we don't know what, if anything happened.

Wow, hard to say if anything happened...! Bucks can 'papa' at that age, but we're not sure about does. If we were to take a wild guess, I'd say maybe a 50/50 chance of a pregnancy. Why don't you weigh your doe right away, and then weigh her in 14 days. Also watch her behavior. If she starts getting really cranky, and gaining weight, brace yourself for young'uns.
