Bodhisattva and his favorite fluffy hat

Bodhisattva and his favorite fluffy hat

Bodhisattva (Bodhi for short) is a year old male mini-lop who loves to run laps around his room and binky all day long. The things he really loves are jumping on mommy's bed and sitting on her lap, getting pet by everybody, and picking through the garbage in trash cans. He is the most sociable rabbit I have ever known.

Bodhi is incredibly lovable, but has been known to get himself into some big trouble. He enjoys sneaking into closets, retreating behind furniture, dumping soda onto computers, and stealing human food from guests.

A Fun Adventure

Marmalade and Clementine

Marmalade and Clementine

Why do rabbits make me so happy and content? I don't think I can answer that clearly, but they do. I got two orange Netherland dwarf bunnies in May. They are Clementine and Marmalade.

We had an "uh-oh" when the two were out in their play yards. They got together! :) Now, as of last night, we have three more bunnies - all plump and squirmy. My son came in from checking on Clementine and announced, "They are soooo tiny!" We all filed out to see. I couldn't be more thrilled, but I also didn't sleep well last night from wondering about the "what ifs." So I am thrilled to have this super helpful web site to guide me along and keep me from having sleepless nights. :) This is definitely going to be a fun adventure!

I may post baby pictures another time now that I know that I can handle them. :)

Cash's First Litter

Cash's First Litter

I am 15 years old and last year my pet Dutch mix Mary had a surprise litter in January! Only 1 survived in that litter- we brought them inside and they died 1 by one until only the biggest was left. I decided I wanted to breed them- Mary and Bloddy Jack have now had 3 litters total, and litter of 1, 5 and then 5 again. Mini-rex mixes (Cashmere and Velvet) at an auction and bred them to Jack. They are both great moms and everyone thinks their babies are adorable.

I want to show my rabbit and I have a Polish with blue eyes that I think would be perfect. I take my rabbits out in public and other breeders tell me I should show them because they are so gorgeous.

This is Cash's first litter- all 6 survived and are now 6 1/2 weeks old. Velvet had her first litter on May 21st!

How cute! They look like English Spot crosses. Especially because of the dot on their cheeks. Also they have a bit of English Spot pattern on them. So adorable!!
