Housing rabbits together

Is it o.k to keep a number of adult females in the same cage?

***** Karen Sez *****
Yes, it's okay, if all the adult females get along together. It works best if the does were littermates and were left together as they matured.

More often, one or more does may think they want to be the boss of the cage, and then a contest ensues and the fur flies. In the wild, one of the does would remain 'in charge,' and the rest would relinquish the prime territory.

And by the way, it works similarly among the bucks, only worse. Fights may end in the death of one of the contestants unless the loser figures it out in a hurry that he better take his losses and scram.
