Dead baby?
I posted a few days ago asking the possibilities my doe was pregnant well she was! 4 babies were born. 1 stillborn, another we aren't sure, it is matted with blood and fur however it seems to be retaining heat because I can feel the warmth when I hold it! It looks as if something stretched it out and its tummy has these bruise like markings on it. I think it may be a "peanut" because the parents were both show dwarf hotots. Any ideas what I should do? Also what is the typical weight of a BUD dwarf hotot?

A peanut is extremely tiny, compared to the other kits. Seems like this should have been apparent, if it were a peanut...?
At any rate, please feel free to clean the kit up if the doe has not done it, dry it well and put it back in the nest, if still alive. Perhaps the thing is already dead, and the heat you feel is simply the heat from the other kits? Cleaning it will help you make the determination.
Maximum weight for a dwarf Hotot doe is 2 1/2 pounds. The best we can tell you about a typical weight for a BUD is that it is *more* than this, disqualifying the animal from showing (but not for being a brood doe). For more info, you could locate a dwarf hotot club and breeders in your area, and see what their experiences are.
Have fun,
