Can the rabbit have more babies after the placenta has come away ?

by Mandy
(Northamptonahire)

My rabbit has had 2 babies who seem to have been born dead. The Placenta has came away can she have any more babies?

We're sorry about the dead bunnies; it sometimes happens that way. Each bunny comes with its own placenta. There's a chance there are another couple bunnies in there, since the uterus has two sections to it. If so, they might be born dead too.

Give the doe another few days, and then rebreed her if you like. Perhaps next time everything will go well.

Good luck!
