A buck lion-lop and a doe stocker market rabbit

I have a white buck lion-lop rabbit who is going on about 8 months old and I was wanting to get a doe from the stock market and breed them. Will it be okay to let them mate together or should I get a doe lion-lop instead?

A rabbit is a rabbit. All things are possible, but to get the best outcome, you could first determine what your goals will be for the babies.

A purebred mating of lion-lop to lion-lop may give you bunnies that are more easily marketable as both breeding stock and as pets.

On the other hand, rabbits are a prey animal, and all of them are made of meat. If you don't mind butchering and eating any unwanted offspring (pet dogs and cats love raw rabbit meat and bones), then parentage is not so important, especially if the stock market rabbit you obtain is larger than the lion-lop.

Hope this helps...
